If you are a music buff and love to download video’s from video sites like YouTube then instead of using difficult to use applications you can try out Firefox Add-ons which can do the work very easily. There are many Firefox extensions to download videos from YouTube. Some of the Firefox Add-on’s that I use to download video from YouTube are Video DownloadHelper, Flash Video Resources Downloader, UnPlug, NetVideoHunter Video Downloader and Magic’s Video – Downloader. Apart from downloading videos from YouTube you can also use some of these Add-onss to download videos from other sites like MySpace, Google videos, DailyMotion, Porkolt, iFilm, Metacafe, Break.com and others.

Firefox Extensions to Download YouTube Videos

Video DownloadHelper – This is my favorite Firefox Add-on to download videos from video websites. You can also use it to download audio and image files. After you install DownloadHelper extension you will see a new icon in your toolbar which can be used to download media from webpages to your local machine.

Flash Video Resources Downloader – With this Firefox extension you can download videos from popular online flash video sites. After you install this add-on it just adds a small icon to the status bar of your Firefox browser and you can click it to download the video you are watching.

Magic’s Video Downloader – With this Firefox Add-on you can save videos in flv format on your local machine from a large number of websites.

NetVideoHunter Video Downloader – With this add-on you can easily download videos and music from most of the video-sharing sites like Youtube, MySpace Music, Google Video, Metacafe, Dailymotion, Break, Putfile etc. You can even preview videos and music in a built-in media player before you download them to your local machine . It has even got fullscreen and video smoothing capabilities.

UnPlug – UnPlug is a Firefox extension which lets you save video and audio which is embedded on a webpage. This Add-on UnPlug scans web pages and allows you to easily save the media files.

If you have got any other Firefox Add-ons to download videos from video websites then don’t forget to share them with us.
