Earlier this month, Huawei Vice President Yu Chengdong confirmed that the company plans to launch a smartphone that will compete directly against the Galaxy Note II. The Huawei executive claimed that the handset will be more powerful than the Galaxy Note II, will feature a cooler design, slimmer bezel, better grip, a more stunning display and will also have longer battery life. Still, Yu posted on his web page on Sina Weibo that the final specs may differ. The price of Huawei Ascend Mate is estimated to be just south of 3,000 or approximately $480 USD. And yes, Huawei will still make a proper introduction of the devices at CES 2013.
