Signal application, developed by Infamous iPhone hacker Planetbeing is now available for download from the Cydia store for all the iPhone 4, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS users. Signal application on Cydia not only enables users to view the real signal strength but also the data regarding the cell reception and the nearest available cell towers.

Using Signal app, you can easily identify the areas where the signal strength is too weak and eventually decide whether to switch to different carriers or not. Comparing different carriers, test antenna vulnerabilities on iPhones, Signal app determines the nearest cell tower as well as informs about the scrambling codes of neighboring cells and downlink and uplink frequencies, which is certainly very helpful for radio engineers testing the handset in the field.

Signal app works well with jailbroken iPhone 4, 3G, and 3GS and can be purchased for a price of $4.99from the Cydia Store.
