Huawei, leading global telecommunications solutions provider launched its Android 2.2 based smartphone, U8150 aka IDEOS in IFA 2010, Berlin. Huawei IDEOS to include impressive features and to be a trendsetter for many Android based smartphones.

Huawei IDEOS incorporates 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen, a 3.2-megapixel camera, and GPS. IDEOS runs of Android 2.2 operating system that turns the handset into a wireless hotspot when required. IDEOS includes Qualcomm processor that is clocked at 528 MHz. Featuring 802.11n, Huawei IDEOS provides quick access to network as well. Users can even connect to the Internet using HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access) at up to 7.2Mbps (bits per second). Expected to ship from Octobr in Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America and Latin America, Huawei IDEOS will be priced in between US$100 and $200 based upon the market conditions.

Along with IDEOS, Huawei is also planning to launch its next Android 2.2 based handset U8800, which would be more advanced smartphone model with standout feature of HSDPA at 14.4Mbps.
