gPodder – Free Podcast Aggregator for Windows, Linux, FreeBSD and Maemo

Written By Sam on 17 August 2009

gPodder is a podcast client, podcast catcher, podcatcher or podcast receiver. With the help of gPodder you can manage your podcast feeds and also automatically download all podcasts. You just need to simply put the feed URLs in gPodder and it will automatically download all episodes. gPodder is available for most Linux distributions, FreeBSD, Windows and Maemo-based devices like Nokia N800 and N810. gPodder is written in Python and has a GTK interface.

gPodder downloads will be saved in a folder in your home directory. This is a powerful feature which sorts your podcasts and organizes them neatly in its own folders and playlists. No need to worry about the internet connection bandwidth also as there’s an option which would limit the number of downloads or the speed. For each podcast type you can select the audio or video player and it even shows the Episode Notes. gPodder can even get files over BitTorrent.

Features of gPodder
