The iPhone Dev-Team has released RedSn0w 0.9.13dev1 for Windows and Mac to tethered jailbreak iOS 6.0 beta 1. RedSn0w 0.9.13dev1 can be used for iOS 6.0 Beta 1 tethered jailbreak on iPhone 4 (GSM), iPhone 4 (CDMA), iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 4G. RedSn0w 0.9.13dev1 for iOS 6.0 beta 1 jailbreak is mainly intended for developers to test jailbreak apps on iOS 6.0. Jailbreak iOS 6.0 Beta 1 On iPod touch With RedSn0w 0.9.13dev2 [Windows]

  • Step 1 : Download RedSn0w 0.9.13dev2 for Windows.
  • Step 2 : Extract the contents of redsn0w_win_0.9.13dev2.zip to any folder of your choice.
  • Step 3 : Launch RedSn0w and click ‘Extras’ button followed by ‘Select IPSW’.
  • Step 4 : Choose iOS 6.0 Beta 1 IPSW file and click the Back button.
  • Step 5 : Click the ‘Jailbreak’ button to start iOS 6.0 Beta 1 jailbreak.
  • Step 6 : RedSn0w will now show you a new screen and choose ‘Install SHSH’ from the available options and click Next.
  • Step 7 : You need to put your iPod touch 4G in DFU mode. Also make sure that your iPod touch is both off and plugged in to the computer.
    • Hold down Power (corner) button for 5 seconds.
    • Without releasing the Power button, also hold down the Home (bottom center) button for 10 seconds.
    • Without releasing the home button, release the Power button. But keep holding the Home button for 15 seconds.
  • Step 8 : RedSn0w 0.9.13dev2 will now jailbreak your iPod touch on iOS 6.0 Beta 1. After the jailbreak is completed, your iPod touch will be rebooted into jailbroken state.

Tethered Boot iOS 6.0 Beta 1 on iPod touch With RedSn0w

As mentioned earlier, iOS 6.0 beta 1 jailbreak with RedSn0w is currently tethered, which means that every time your iPod touch is switched off, you have to connect it to a computer and run RedSn0w for a tethered boot. To tethered boot your iPod touch on iOS 6.0 Beta 1, just connect it to the computer, launch RedSn0w and choose ‘Extras’ -> ‘Just Boot’.
