MSI CX413 14″ Laptop Features AMD Athlon II Dual Core CPU and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 Graphics
Planning to buy a laptop to add to your multimedia experience? Micro-Star International’s recently-rolled-out 14-inch CX413 may fit the bill. The latest in the company’s Classic series of laptop computers, the CX413 comes packed with AMD’s Vision (Danube) platform, has AMD’s Athlon II dual core processor at its heart and runs on Windows 7 Home Premium.
MSI informed the CX413 has been specifically designed for multimedia entertainment and comes with the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 discrete graphics card (with 512MB DDR3 display memory) for improved image processing capabilities. The Athlon II dual core processor supports DDR3 system memory that expands to a maximum of capacity of 8GB for enhanced data processing capabilities; as well as a hard drive whose capacity can be of 250 GB, 320 GB or 500 GB. What else? The CX413 comes with a 1.3MP webcam, a microphone, Wi-Fi support (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth V2.1+EDR module with X3 transfer rate, and an instant messaging device to connect with friends and family. The company touts its ECO engine power-saving technology as one that is aimed at optimizing battery performance and maximizing mobility (at less than 2.2 kg).
Lookwise, the CX410 comes in MSI’s own 45-degree beveled construction. It has a black-matte exterior and metal touchpad buttons. The company claims the device’s 14-inch 16:9 LED screen enables “cinema-class LED display”. The laptop features High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) that can transfer up to 5Gb of video bandwidth for image clarity. This can be used in conjunction with the optional Blu-Ray to show HD images on large-screen TV displays. For photo buffs, the laptop comes pre-loaded with software, like MSI’s WebCam Companion and Visual Effect2. So, you have the option of editing and altering pictures, or changing video conference effects.
The company’s press release claims, “This machine has it all… It’s your best choice for reasonably priced mobile multimedia entertainment”. The price? The company has not revealed details on either the price or availability of the machine. For the moment, ‘reasonably priced’ sounds promising.
