iPhone 4G is rumored to be launched in mid-summer and Apple is planning to clear all the iPhone 3GS and 3G stocks by selling them without AT&T contract or ID. According to a leaked document, customers purchasing iPhone 3GS/3G as a device only at full price are no longer required to have an AT&T account or provide a form of ID. But do note that it is not an Unlocked iPhone. The iPhone is still locked to AT&T network. So I don’t see much advantage for going with this offer!(?)
The iPhone device only full price sales are limited to one person per day. Moreover Apple enforces a 10 lifetime limit on iPhones sold at full price.
Purchase Policies
- Customers may purchase only 1 iPhone at full price per day. The iPhone 3G 8GB model costs you $499, iPhone 3GS 16GB costs you $599 and the iPhone 3GS 32GB is priced at $699.
- Customers are not required to verify they have an active AT&T account to purchase as device only full price.
- Customers may continue to purchase up to 5 iPhones per customer per day with contracts at new activation or upgrade pricing.
