Apple iPhone 4 Pricing, Availability, Pre-Order Dates and AT&T Upgrade Offer

Written By Sam on 8 June 2010

Steve Jobs had officially announced about the features, availability, pricing and the pre-order date of the iPhone 4. The latest iPhone 4 will be available in 2 versions in both black and white colors – the 16GB iPhone 4 will cost you $199 and the 32GB iPhone 4 is priced at $299. Moreover the price of iPhone 3GS 8GB model is reduced to $99. Also note that Apple wont be selling the iPhone 3G anymore.

iPhone 4 pre-order starts from June 15 and it will be available from June 24. The initial June 24th release is only in United States, France, Germany, United Kingdom and Japan. iPhone 4 will be available in other countries like Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland from July 2010. In August Apple will add 24 more, and in September 44 more countries will be added totaling 88 countries.

AT&T customers will have a good time here as AT&T is going to make an incredibly generous upgrade offer. So if your contract expires any time in 2010, you are immediately eligible for a new iPhone 4 at the same $199 or $299 prices if you top up your contract 2 years.

this is almost correct… the upgrade option is based off of your upgrade date and not your contract date. if your upgrade date falls in 2010, you can buy at the upgrade price.

Finally got mine ordered through Apple after 1.5 hr! Only Safari worked for me. I tried FF and IE, and both were/are still hung on the eligibility check. After adding to cart, it still took me a half hour just to access the cart again and check out. I was also unable to see the iPhone 4 option on AT&T, so I stayed with Apple.
