Sony’s Latest NW-A840 Series Walkman’s Features 2.8″ WQVGA OLED Display and TV-Out Function

Sony has added more models to the A-series Walkman line with some interesting features. It has all the features for which users have been asking for in previous walkman’s and the new NW-A840 series is available in black and brown. It has got a stylish appearance which has been seen in a personal media player and it has a 2.8″ WQVGA OLED screen.


The new NW-A840 series is one of the thinnest Walkman at only 7.2mm and has the ability to pump 720×480 pixel video out to your TV. The battery is rated at 29 hours of continuous music or 9 hours of video. The new NW-A840 series has three models — 16GB NW-A845 (¥24,000/$263), 32GB NW-A846 (¥30,000/$329), and 64GB NW-A847 (¥40,000/$439). The new NW-A840 series has got drag n drop feature which includes auto converting video transfer for the first time. It includes a S-Master digital amplifier, FM radio, Digital noise canceling and comes with premium MDR-EX300SL earphones.


The new NW-A840 series has a battery life of 29 hours at 128 kbps and 9 hours of video playback at 384 kbps MPEG-4. It has codec support like MP3, WMA, AAC, HE-AAC, ATRAC, AL, PCM/WAV. If you are planning to buy the latest NW-A840 series then you have to wait until October 31st.
