Envy 17, Envy 14, Elitebook 2540P and 2740P – Latest Notebooks From HP

Terrific news for all those aspiring to own a Laptop, HP is set to update its list of Windows 7 supporting notebooks with two new Elitebooks 2540p and 2740p models. As per the leaked information in a Korean website, HP has included many updates to its upcoming model’s along with wider aspect ratios to the displays (Thank goodness!). Through this article, we will provide you information on the updates, which might be included in the latest Laptops of HP.

Envy 17, Envy 14, Elitebook 2540P and 2740P - Latest Notebooks From HP

HP’s ultra-portable 12-inch Elitebook 2540P, 12 inch tablet PC Elitebook 2740p and 14-inch Elitebook 8440p/8440w will be available with a wider display. Anyways, one has to sacrifice a mere 32 pixels of vertical reading space though the display has been updated to an aspect ratio of 16:10 with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels instead of 16:9 of 1366 x 768 pixels. Elitebook 8740w, a 17 inch Mobile Workstation from HP, will also feature a 16:10 LCD display just like its predecessor, 8730w along with a large display resolutions ranging from 1680 x 1050 to 1920 x 1200. Only those 8740w models with a product code AJ358AA will have this feature included in it (Alas!).

After the popular Envy 15, HP now is planning to release two new notebooks Envy 14 and Envy 17, which will feature a bigger display and better graphics. It is expected that Envy 14 will share the Elitebook 8440w’s 1600 x 900 panel with a screen size of 14 inches and the Envy 17 will feature 1080p full HD 1920 x 1080 display with a screen size of 17 inches. Along with Envy 14 and Envy 17, HP also plans to release its Compaq CQ42, CQ62, G42 and G62; Mini 210 notebooks in the coming year. The Probook 6440b and Probook 6540b of HP are likely to be similar to the “6×45b” siblings and will feature Intel’s processors, the Core i3 according to the leaked information.
