The tag line of Archos itself is very interesting – it reads “HOW DO YOU TABLET?”. It is definitely apt, considering the huge number of their Android tablets. The timing also seems perfect as they have just delivered 5 Android tablets ahead of many big brands who are planning to release theirs.

The new Android Tablets from Archos range from PMP like devices having screen sizes of 2.8″ and 3.2″ to larger tablets of 4.7 inches, 7 inches and 10.1 inches. All these models will have Android 2.2 “Froyo” OS. Only some have capacitive touch screens, 1GHz processors and front facing cameras. All tablets have Archos AppsLib and there are no preloaded Google apps or Market access.

Archos 28 Android Tablet

The baby of the team is the Archos 28, which has a 2.8 inch touch screen and a 320×240 resolution, storage of 4GB, an accelerometer and an 800MHz ARM A8 processor (which allows gaming as well). It also has the new Archos music application with album art and this WiFi equipped PMP gadget supports most of the video and music formats as well. Archos 28 is priced at $99.99.

Archos 32 Android Tablet

The next one is the Archos 32 which has a 3.2 inch screen, 8GB of storage, camera on the back (can record 720 pixels of video). This is slightly bigger than the Archos 28 and has got more functionalities. It can be hooked up to a TV with the help of the composite port on the bottom. Archos 32 is priced at $149.99.

Archos 43 Android Tablet

Next is the Archos 43 which is slimmer and has more power than the older Archos 5. It has a 1GHz ARM Cortex processor and the accelerometer shows amazing accuracy on a racing game. Video recording of 720p is possible with the help of the camera on its back. Archos 43 is priced at $199.

Archos 70 Android Tablet

The Archos 70 comes next in line with a capacitive screen, accelerometer and a front facing camera. It is equipped with USB and mini HDMI ports. The beauty of this piece is that it is only 0.4 inches thick and a weight of just 11 ounces. Archos 70 is priced at $279.99.

Archos 101 Android Tablet

Lastly in the list is the Archos 101 – which is just 0.5 inches thick and has a weight of 0.93 pounds. This has a screen size of 10.1 inches. When compared to the iPad, it is definitely a light weight Tablet. USB and HDMI ports are available and also a front facing VGA camera. The extra attachment is a kickstand with the help of which you can type on the screen with ease. Archos 101 is priced at $300.

These new tables from Archos offer a combination of web browsing at good speed, eBooks, Gaming, Social Networking, Music and Videos. Some models are quite affordable while some others are a technological marvel. Seems surely like a gadget to be admired and owned and all models are likely to hit the market in mid October this year.
