Apple Sells Two Million iPads in Less Than 60 Days Since its Launch on April 3

Apple iPad has created a lot of buzz in the Tablet segment after its release. Though there are many missing features in iPad, yet it was sold beyond the experts expectations. Apple announced that iPad sales have topped two million in less than 60 days after it was launched on April 3. iPad was initially available in US and later Apple began shipping iPad in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK. Users in other locations have to wait for some more time as Apple have mentioned that the iPad will be available in nine more countries in July and additional countries later this year.

Steve Jobs said that “Customers around the world are experiencing the magic of iPad, and seem to be loving it as much as we do.” He also added that “We appreciate their patience, and are working hard to build enough iPads for everyone.” Though many people in the initial days stated that the iPad is a BIG flop, the numbers themselves speak about the success of iPad.

  1. Inspite of all those news about lacking features, people love to have one of their own. Since it is the first kind of such gadget, and coming from apple, it’s just common.
