Ultra-Low and Extreme-Low Voltage DDR3 Memory Kits From OCZ Technology

OCZ, the high-end supplier of advanced memory modules has now release new series of low-voltage DDR3 desktop memory modules. These DDR3 modules have ULV ( Ultra-Low Voltage) and ELV ( Extreme-Low Voltage) settings, using which you can translate the power usage into better power consumption and obtain better results when overclocked.

OCZ Platinum ELV 2GB DDR3 module runs at 1.35 volts and is available in PC3-10666 (1333MHz) and PC3-12800 (1600MHz) speed ratings and either CL8 8-8-24 or CL9 9-9-24 latency settings. The OCZ ELV modules are also available in 4GB and 6GB memory kits. Featuring the same speed ratings and latency settings, the ULV products – OCZ Gold and OCZ Reaper HPC, operating at 1.5 volts, will be available in 4 GB DD3 versions and 8GB dual-channel or 12GB/24GB triple-channel. The enhanced heat spreaders with a heat pipe of Reaper ULV modules feature makes it even more stable.

Working far below the upper voltage threshold of Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 processors, these memory modules are equipped with proprietary Xtreme Thermal Convection (XTC) heat spreaders to provide enhanced performance. OCZ provides Lifetime Warranty and technical support for all the OCZ modules. Price of these modules is yet to be revealed!
