Dell’s new Inspiron 15R Alloy Edition laptop comes with added shine – literally. The widescreen device features a premium aluminum finish with a laser-etched Alloy Waves design. The company has put up a product page to flaunt the 15.6-inch laptop. It has also matched the pattern on the outer surface to the smudge-proof palm rest, which shows that Dell has put in a lot of thought into aesthetic details for this one. The laptop has also been given a 10-key numeric keypad for easier data entry tasks.

Dell is offering this laptop with the user’s choice of Intel Core’s CPUs – i3, i5 or i7. Hard drives upto 750 GB with DDR memory options available up to 8  GB. All these work together to give you more multitasking support and allocate processing power wherever you need it most.

Graphics will be a treat on this machine with a dedicated 1GB graphics memory that will allow users to work with large video files and graphic-rich video games. You can even opt for the ATI Radeon HD graphics cards that can improve your graphic experience levels to great heights. The glossy widescreen with a 1366×768 pixel resolution gives great output to the graphics. Did we mention its 7-in-1 media card feature? Well, it will allow you to read upto 7 different digital media cards and make your data reading options that much wider.

Other specs include 1.3MP webcam, 3 USB 2.0 ports, 1 eSATA/USB2.0 port, HDMI and VGA ports and an optional 9-cell battery.

The Dell DataSafe Online Backup is an easy and secure tool that enables you to save your sensitive data on a virtual safe using a broadband connection and prevents loss due to damage or theft. Prices are yet unknown but you can expect it to fall within Dell’s elite category of laptops.
